About me:
Hi there , My name is Stanley Barker but everyone calls me Stan! I am an aspiring sound designer with a passion for creating immersive audio experiences that bring stories to life. Whether its using sound design to create tension within films or using my creativity to create an immersive audio experience, I believe sound is what truly shapes how to consumer reacts.
This portfolio is a space where I can share the projects I’ve worked on/created, experiment with new ideas, and connect with others who are as equally interested in sound design as I am!
I am always up for learning more about sound design and I am constantly exploring how audio can push boundaries, evoke emotion, and enhance narrative storytelling.

What I love about sound design:
For me I love that by using sound design I am able to invoke different emotions to the listener. My favourite part about sound design is that I am able to create audio that can fully immerse the listener, a good example of this is my Audio book called 'The Depths Below' that I started creating at the end of last year (2024). I feel like I have now found what I am most interested in within the sound design world which is creating experiences that allow me to tell stories through audio! I also really like being able to create tension as well as invoking other emotions through audio alone (like I have in my recreated film clips).
Overall, there are many different possibilities with sound design and I know that there is still a lot for me to learn which is why I have a strong passion for it!
